The apartment is in Calle Santiago, and is an equal distance between the Plaza Mayor square and the Royal Palace. The Plaza Mayor is one of the capital’s top highlights, and the site of many of Madrid’s festivals and public gatherings. The elegant Royal Palace and Plaza de Oriente is just a short walk away, as is the little-known inner-city park the Campo del Moro – the perfect place to take a stroll during the weekend. Guests should head to the newly-refurbished Mercado de San Miguel for some of the city’s best food produce, while the nearby neighbourhood of La Latina is great for experiencing a traditional Spanish tapeo. The central hub the Puerta del Sol can be reached in under ten minutes on foot, along with great shopping and dining options. There are a number of different metro stops nearby, meaning guests can explore the rest of the city and beyond with ease. The apartment itself is bright and spacious, with original artwork and quality furnishings that give it a distinctive interior style. Divided into two floors, the first floor is occupied mostly by a comfortable living space, with an open-plan living and dining room that is only partially separated by exposed beams and a small wall. The large sofas face two traditional balconette windows that look out onto the city below and flood the room with light throughout the day. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator / freezer, 4 ring ceramic hob (stove), oven and microwave. Next to it is a bathroom with walk-in shower.
